Personal Choreography

Experiments (1)

February 2026

A post-modern dance exploring the juxtaposition of movement and experimental noise. Each rehearsal was an embodied research lab focused on personal studies of deep listening, Merce Cunningham/John Cage collaborations, and Yvonne Rainer's theories of movement repetition. This work debuted at the Hampshire Winter Dance Concert.

(((leaning //// duet)

October 2025

Choreographed and performed in one day during Hampshire College Dance’s day of S.E.E.D (Show Up, Express, Exchange, Dance). In collaboration with dancer Leon Armstrong, we focused on themes of leaning and feeling exposed. We danced to an improvised sound score by Will Amend.

May 2025

I performed an improvised dance score informed by participants’ answers from a prior performance installation. I stood in the middle of the sidewalk with a long fabric sign asking, “CAN YOU DESCRIBE A MEMORY RELATED TO FLEETING TIME (YOU’VE FOUND SIGNIFICANT)?”  Sound was in conversation with this dance. Feedback loops, pedals, and contact mics were used.
